Journalism News Reporting · Graduation 2020

The Coronavirus threw a wrench into our traditional graduation plans. Thanks to the hard work of administrators and student leaders, the class of 2020 traded in its three-hour formal ceremony in the Maverik Center for a four-hour celebration at Butler Fields that included a car parade, a faculty cheering section, the traditional walk across the stage, and formal photos–which were all livestreamed on YouTube. Graduation speeches and musical performances were prerecorded and put on a keepsake thumb drive with the commencement recording for all seniors.
